Book a private coffee tasting
An hour at our West Berkeley roastery with one of our roasters, for you and up to five guests. You leave knowing more about coffee, how we roast it, and how to brew it better at home.

What’s included
- Six Legacy Blends, side by side. Tasted together and poured by one of our roasters, so you can find the one you like best.
- A walk through the roastery. See where your coffee is roasted and meet the Probat roaster at the heart of The House.
- A brewing session. Brew with us and see what changes the cup.
- Time for your questions. Ask us anything about coffee, roasting or brewing.

Changes and cancellations
Cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours before your tasting and we refund you in full. You can do it yourself from your confirmation email.
Inside 48 hours, email orders@houseofuncommongrounds.com and we will move your tasting to another date once. We can’t refund a missed tasting.
Also at The House
A wholesale consultation. Buying for a café, restaurant, market or office? Sit down with us, taste the coffees you are considering and talk through your account. Tastings for wholesale prospects are free. Email orders@houseofuncommongrounds.com to arrange a private time.
A gathering or workshop. We host community workshops and small gatherings. Tell us what you have in mind and we will see what we can arrange.

Can I drop in?
Please book first. We host one group at a time and the roastery is working the rest of the day.
How many people can come?
A tasting is for up to six people, and the $200 covers the whole group.
What does a tasting cost?
$200 for the hour, for up to six people. That covers six blends, the roastery walk-through, the brewing session and the Q&A. If you are enquiring about a wholesale account, your tasting is free: email orders@houseofuncommongrounds.com to arrange it.
How far ahead do I need to book?
At least one day ahead. Tastings run Monday to Friday, starting between 9:30 AM and 2:30 PM.
Can I cancel or change my booking?
Yes, up to 48 hours before, for a full refund. Inside 48 hours, email us and we will move it to another date once.
Can I buy coffee while I’m there?
Yes. All six Legacy Blends are available to take home.
